This research group is part of the division DNA-Diagnostics and consists of 7 scientists and 5 technicians. The research activities cover a broad range.

Our main occupation is research into multifactorial and complex disorders: disorders and diseases that are brought about by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. A special line of research within this field is the pharmacogenetic research. For this research, we are developing techniques to identify genotype large numbers of SNPs and other types of polymorphisms.

We also exploit a genotyping facility for linkage studies. In addition, we develop and validate tests for diagnostic purposes.
